your pbl questions answered.
the pbl system uses strategically placed RFID checkpoint tags on climbing routes. as you climb, you scan these checkpoints with your wearable pbl Device, which logs your progress and sends the data to your smartphone app.
yes, pbl is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. for outdoor locations, checkpoint tags can be installed on popular routes, allowing climbers to track their progress on natural rock faces just as they would in a gym.
while pbl offers the most comprehensive experience in pbl-enabled facilities, you can still use many features independently. the app can track manual entries, and you can participate in global challenges and the pbl community. we're continuously expanding our network of pbl-enabled gyms.
pbl takes data privacy seriously. your climbing data is encrypted and securely stored. you have full control over what information is shared publicly, with friends, or kept private. facilities only receive aggregated, anonymized data unless you choose to share more.
pbl is currently in active development, with our team working diligently to bring this revolutionary climbing technology to life.
